Employee Engagement

Module 1: Introduction and Course Objectives (1 CE hour) ~ This course is designed to help ensure that our employees are attracted to and inspired by their work; that they want to work and are willing to invest their 'discretionary effort' in helping the business continue to be successful.  This goes beyond job satisfaction.  It addresses employee commitment and dedication as well as ensures employees are challenged by their work.
Module 2: Developing the Plan (5 CE hours including 1.5 Ethics hours) ~ Provide employees increases in meaning and value in their job by increasing your ability to articulate the big picture results.  This can be achieved by establishing a set of mutually defined objectives and goals to focus activities and measure success.
Module 3: Crafting a Working Environment (6 CE hours including 1.5 Ethics hours) ~ Crafting a working environment drives engagement and is based on trust.  A working environment requires knowledge of trust, the elements of trust and how trust promotes engagement.  Engagement can be achieved by exploring communication styles, individual motivating factors, and interpersonal dialogue.
Module 4: Supporting Employee Development (4 CE hours including 1 Ethics hour) ~ Align employee roles and responsibilities for maximum effectiveness to ensure employee development and growth.  Establish performance expectations and delegate responsibility to encourage employees' professional development.  Supporting employee development results in heightened employee engagement levels.
Module 5: Coaching Employees (4 CE hours including 1 Ethics hour) ~ Develop coaching skills for increased engagement and optimized performance.  Manage employee performance and establish a climate of accountability.
Module 6: Maintaining Engagement (4 CE hours including 1 Ethics hour) ~ Engagement is not an issue that is addressed, fixed and then put aside.  Opportunities to engage must be seized.  It is not a passive state.  Engagement is intentional with active participants, managers and employees alike.
Generational Communication & Team Decision Making

Cross Generational Communication (4 CE hours including 1 Ethics hour) ~ Identify the four generations in the workplace: Traditionalists; Baby Boomers; Generation X; Generation Y. Who are they? What are their Critical Historical Influences, Cultural Factors, Characteristics, Events, Experiences, etc. How to work with each generation, in an effort to compare and contrast the values and the potential outcomes of generational interaction, consider and identify potential problems for an organization when people from different generations fail to communicate effectively. Compare and identify differing feedback styles and their impact, offer strategies for effective cross generational communication, and discuss Ethical Implication of each generation.
Team Decision Making (4 CE hours including 2 Ethics hours) ~ Discuss key points and give overviews of the following: Challenges of Group Decision Making; Why Agreement is Difficult; Methods of Group Decision Making; Expert and Consultative Decisions; Consensus Building. Will also identify how a team can improve its decision making, review who is responsible, identify team decision issues to be addressed, and discuss shifting to ideal team decision-making responsibilities, and identifying and discussing ethical issues of Team Decision Making.
Effective Supervisory Skills

Targeted toward anyone who is in a supervisory role. Designed to help participants understand the role of the supervisor in an organization and the importance of effective supervisory skills to organizational success. The frontline supervisor represents the company to employees and has a dramatic impact on employee performance and behavior. Preparing supervisors to lead effectively helps protect a company’s interests, optimizes performance, and enables an organization to maximize the contributions of employees. This class will discuss and practice skills that enable participants to supervise others and help them perform at their best. The content and skills apply to anyone who supervises in a performance management role.
Assessing Your Readiness for Culture Change

There are now three things Texas Licensed Nursing Facility Administrators cannot avoid: Taxes, Death and Culture Change.  This 8-hour seminar will show you (1) the first steps you need to take to implement Culture Change, (2) how Surveys in the future will support, and demand, Culture Change concepts, (3) understand the challenges and opportunities of Culture Change and (4) develop a Culture Change Strategic Plan to implement Culture Change starting with the easiest, simplest and least expensive of the 79 tenants of Culture Change.  You are going to be required to do it - now is the time to begin your Culture Change Journey.  Let's do it right!
