You may remember CHA Seminars as Cole, Hilsabeck and Associates.  CHA Seminars traces its history to 1991 when Marvin Cole was asked by the Texas State Board of Licensure for Nursing Facility Administrators to put together an Ethics Class in response to the new requirement that an Ethics component be put into the Continuing Education (CE) program for Licensed Nursing Facility Administrators (LNFA).

In partnership with Jon Hilsabeck, a 6 hour program was created and a contract with the Board to present as 8 programs.  After the first 3 programs were completed, CHA presented their findings to the Board.  The findings clearly indicated that an Ethics Class was useful, because of the learning that took place in our program. 

Therefore, in 1991 Jon and I decided to create our partnership and thus Cole Hilsabeck & Associates was born.  This partnership was a great opportunity for us to do what we really enjoyed ~ teaching.  It was part time effort that we squeezed in between our full time responsibilities.

In January 2003, after a long decline in attendance, we made the decision to close the doors of Cole Hilsabeck & Associates.  We discovered that a decision by the Board in 2000 allowed LNFA's to take correspondence and computer generated classes and this created the decline in attendance in our seminars.  In 2004, the Board reversed the decision and required 34 classroom hours for license renewal.  Thus the rebirth of CHA Seminars.

We are armed with new programs that are focused on High Performance Team Building or as what is buzzing around the industry 'Culture Change'.  Our goal is to help you take your 'good organization' to a 'great organization'.

Our curriculum is professionally prepared.  We'll use videos, exercises, stories, role playing, and you to bring life to our presentations, but more importantly we will give you tools to take home to apply in your facility.  We have added handouts and workbooks to our classes that will bring to life the material we teach and give you an invaluable tool to use when you return to the work place.

Browse our web page and see the things we are doing.  One of the first things that you will notice is that we're not just for LNFA's any more.  Our training is also applicable to Assisted Living Managers, Nurses, Social Workers, Marketing Directors, and Activity Directors.  

The second thing that you will notice is that CHA Seminars is also a training and consulting company.  We specialize in developing and implementing the Culture Change concepts into your organization.  What we do is applicable to both large and small that want to excel in the field of Long Term Care.  Our facilitators, who deliver each course, are professionally trained and certified to deliver each course in a number of different formats.  We provide you, our clients, with products and training courses that are the best in the business.
