Nursing Home Administrators
CHA Seminars is a Certified Provider of professional continuing education by the National Continuing Education Review Service (NCERS) of the National Association of Boards of Examiners for Nursing Home Administrators (NAB). Each course is provided with the assistance and guidance of the NAB/NCERS. Each course is thoroughly reviewed and recommendations made prior to becoming approved for accreditation. All education courses offered by CHA Seminars have been reviewed and approved by the NCERS for the continuing education hours indicated with each course. NCERS strives to approve only quality programs whose content can reasonably contribute to the professional development of long-term health care administrators. State licensure boards have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses.
Assisted Living Directors/Managers
CHA Seminars is a Certified Provider of professional continuing education by the National Continuing Education Review Service (NCERS) of the National Association of Boards of Examiners (NAB). Courses meet the requirements of continuing education required by DADS Licensing Standards for Assisted Living Facilities Handbook in Subchapter C, §92.41(a)(1)(C) Standards for Type A and Type B Assisted Living Facilities: “Continuing education. All managers must show evidence of 12 hours of annual continuing education. This requirement will be met during the first year of employment by the 24-hour assisted living management course. The annual continuing education requirement must include at least two of the following areas: (1) resident and provider rights and responsibilities, abuse/neglect, and confidentiality; (2) basic principles of management; (3) skills for working with residents, families, and other professional service providers; (4) resident characteristics and needs; (5) community resources; (6) accounting and budgeting; (7) basic emergency first aid; or (8) federal laws, such as Americans with Disabilities Act, Civil Rights Act of 1991, the Rehabilitation Act of 1993, Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993, and the Fair Housing Act.”
Home Health Administrators
CHA Seminars is a Certified Provider of professional continuing education by the National Continuing Education Review Service (NCERS) of the National Association of Boards of Examiners (NAB). Courses meet the requirements of continuing education required by DADS Licensing Standards for Home and Community Support Services Agencies Handbook in Subchapter C, Division 3, §97.260(a) Continuing Education in Administration of Agencies: "In addition to the qualifications and conditions described in §97.244 of this division (relating to Administrator Qualifications and Conditions and Supervising Nurse Qualifications), an administrator and alternate administrator must complete 12 clock hours of continuing education within each 12-month period beginning with the date of designation. The 12 clock hours of continuing education must include at least two of the following topics and may include other topics related to the duties of an administrator (1) any one of the educational training subjects listed in §97.259(d) of this division (relating to Initial Educational Training in Administration of Agencies); (2) development and interpretation of agency policies; (3) basic principles of management in a licensed health-related setting; (4) ethics; (5) quality improvement; (6) risk assessment and management; (7) financial management; (8) skills for working with clients, families, and other professional service providers; (9) community resources; or (10) marketing."
Activity Directors
CHA Seminars provides professional continuing education as approved by the National Continuing Education Review Service (NCERS) of the National Association of Boards of Examiners for Nursing Home Administrators (NAB) as a recognized credentialing body. Courses meet the criteria for continuing education required by DADS as well as the criteria for continuing education required for recertification by NCCAP.

CHA Seminars is an approved provider for continuing education by the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners provider# CS4665.
